Joy Riding In The Thing

The best part of yesterday - The Mister took me out for a ride in this '73 VW Thing last night. He drove the Thing in High School and it was recently shipped out to us. We get to have a little fun with it until it finds it's way to it's new home in Idaho.

The best part of today - Lunch with the Mister. He met me downtown for a much needed break from installing my event that spans the entire Convention Center and neighboring Arena.

Our Lucky Day

Yesterday was our lucky day, indeed! We had a home inspection on our soon-to-be first home. The inspector had only nice things to say, which is wayyyyyy better than the last time we went through this process. We are so excited and feel so lucky to be moving here....

After the home inspection we went up to Snowbird for a company party and I won this...

Yes, Trevor - it IS a 50" Plasma television. Aren't you soooooo jealous? I won by donating food to the Utah Food Bank. And The Mister didn't want to stop at the store the night before so that I could buy the TV-qualifying food. He said that I wasn't going to win "the stupid TV." Bet you don't think it's stupid now!

Home Sweet Home

In our never ending quest for our DREAM HOME we have decided against houses with huge buffalo heads in the living room.

Luckily though...

Our luck continued and we "chased fall" to NYC. It was a great honeymoon. We saw three shows, shopped and ate yummy food all week. We joked about how lucky we were to have had our wedding on the last day of fall. As we were leaving NYC to come home we noticed snow flurries. Pretty funny.

And now...Snow!

And this is what our picture taking area looked like the next day. Can you believe it? We are so lucky that we got our fall wedding. The resort had to cancel all of the events that day because of the snow.

At Last

Okay, so I lied back in December when I said to check back soon for pics of our wedding - but I am making an honest woman of myself and posting a few of my favs. Mister's friend/ex-coworker Helen took these shots.

This is the picture that Mister had as the background on his phone until he went the Kennedy Space Center - or "Space Camp" as he calls it - and got a picture to replace it. Sad, I know.


This is a funny picture because I remember how much the Mister and I didn't want to leave the party. It was such a great day. The Mister did sneak back to get more of our Whitney-made wedding cake. We still crave this cake!! Hint, Hint.

McKenna Love

I L-O-V-E this pic of McKenna from her baby shower on Saturday. I think that it perfectly shows what this day was about. Whitney (aka Whit Dogg) gifted this cute book along with many other fun baby books.
