Shhhhhh! I'm Sleeping.

We often try and catch up on TV shows while the little one sleeps. But how can we turn up the volume on 'Castle' when the kid is clearly telling us to stay quiet?

Dreams for Esmé

Of course we hope that this girl is happy, kind, smart, creative - yada, yada. But mostly we just want her to be a Beatles fan. The mister feels it's never too early to start indoctrinating.

Tiny head or big headband? Maybe both.

Our day yesterday looked like this 60% of the time -

Like this 35% of the time - (which she normally screamed at)

and this for 5%.

The mister thinks this is a good muzzle for her toddler years. We'll see about that.

When I checked on Esmé tonight this is what I found...

Cousin Eli shared his bunnies (and dragon) with the girl. And if you know anything about this boy and his bunnies you know how special of an occasion this was. I think these guys are going to be good friends.

I heart my family...

This girl has her tongue out constantly, even in her Sunday best.

This is what happens when I leave town for 24 hours...Thanks Mister! It was a fun surprise to have "the girl's" crib set up in the nursery when I got home.

And mucho thanks to Grammy & Skipper for the beautiful beds! Now let's hope she knows how to use them.

First and Last

This is absolutely the first and last time I post any pictures of my daughter's hoo-ha. The Mister does not approve.

A Party for....

The Mister and I were thrilled to meet the newest member of our extended family last night.

We had a little get-together at our house so all the anxious relatives could ooh and ahh at baby Lexi. And of course the theme was pink, pink, pink!

The pokadots looked best in the daylight, but when it got dark you could really see the pink lights that we lit the whole house with.

And of course there was food... Thanks Marilyn and Whitney for the yumminess!

Chinese Auction

Soooo....I haven't blogged forever. I know. It's been ugly. There have been long days, weeks planning for the MPI Chinese Auction. I hit the pavement asking (begging, really) for donations to benefit Make-A-Wish. Such a worthy cause.

Side note: Thanks Chris for the "Scuba Experience" gift certificate. It was a hot item!

Anyhoo, back to the begging. I sort of put my job on the back burner to keep this thing going. Now that it is over I have to relearn how to focus on one task at a time.

Catch Up, But Not The Good Kind You Eat With Fries

Yes, Heather - there is snow in my backyard...still.

See that fence? Yes, that ghetto fence in the back. It blew down in the snowstorm. So in addition to the depressing snow, we have home owner repairs.
In the theme of needing Spring to come I have chopped my locks. I keep getting "sassy" comments from my coworkers. I don't think sassy is quite the right word. Either way I think it still needs to be shorter (and sassier).

Okay, this one's for the mister. He posted a lovely picture from his "office" so here is my response...I know, right? He has me WAY beat on this one.
